Multicultural Waitaki: Ten women in Oamaru created an interactive workbook to help ethnic parents talk with their adolescents about healthy relationships and consent. Designed for use during tea conversations, the booklet includes reflection exercises to support open, honest dialogue. It was launched with a community tea event.
A group of four members from different regions in Aotearoa, created a survey about dating behaviours in the LGTBIQ+/ethnic communities in Aotearoa. They processed and shared the findings in an episode in Encouraging Conversations.
A group of international students from the University of Waikato developed a t-shirt painting activity, inspired by the Clothing line project, to talk about healthy relationships and consent within the University settings.
In Christchurch, we worked with Women2Women, a group of women of mixed ethnicities. They did two projects: • One group worked on an animation video for social media to prevent sexual harm to teenagers. • The second group worked in a poster campaign about “Parents as Protectors of Child Abuse.”
