Children's Holiday Programme
This children’s holiday programme supports families during school holidays by providing a safe, fun, and culturally welcoming space for children aged 5 to 13 years. It is especially helpful for parents who may not have strong support networks or childcare options during the holidays.
The programme runs during school holidays and offers children the chance to play, learn, and make friends in a positive and inclusive environment. Activities are designed to keep children active, engaged, and happy.
Children take part in:
- Arts and crafts inspired by cultures from around the world
- Sports, games, and team activities
- Fun indoor and outdoor play
- At least one outdoor trip during the programme
The programme runs:
- One week during each school holiday, and
- Two weeks during the summer holidays
Upcoming programme dates: 13-17 Apr, 13-17 Jul and 5-9 Oct 2026
Time: 8:30 am – 3:30 pm
Venue: St Peter’s Scouts Hall, 31 Lorne Street, Melville, Hamilton
Cost:
- $20 per day when attending the full week
- $25 per day for casual bookings
The programme is OSCAR approved, and WINZ subsidies may apply, making it affordable for many families.
