Regional Family Violence Response
(Available in selected regions)
This service supports families affected by family violence, with a strong focus on the safety and well-being of women and children.
Violence may be physical, emotional, financial, sexual, immigration, or controlling behaviour.
Our services include:
- Social Work Support – Free, confidential social work support for ethnic women experiencing family violence or other complex issues. Social workers listen, help you understand your options, support safety planning, and connect or advocate with other services when needed. Culturally responsive and women-centred.
- PACT – Men’s Behaviour Change Support – Long-term support for men who want to take responsibility and change their behaviour after using violence. PACT focuses on accountability, cultural safety, healthy masculinity, and restoring whānau wellbeing through tailored one-on-one support. Free and confidential.
- Safety Programmes – One-to-one Safety Programmes for adults who have experienced family violence. We help you understand what is happening, think about safety, and explore your options in a culturally and linguistically supportive way. Referrals can come through the Ministry of Justice or directly.
