Our social services support ethnic women and their families who are experiencing violence or other difficult situations.
We provide free, confidential, and culturally safe support. You do not need to face this alone.

You do not need to be sure what kind of help you need. We will listen, explain your options, and support you at your own pace.

This service supports ethnic people who have experienced sexual harm or abuse, whether it happened recently or in the past.

Our services include:

  • Crisis Support – We provide emotional and practical support for ethnic people affected by sexual harm. We listen, explain options, connect you with local services, and support you to navigate them if needed. Contact the Crisis Coordinator by email, phone, message, or WhatsApp. Free and confidential.
  • Healing and Recovery (ACC Sensitive Claims Service) – We connect ethnic people with culturally responsive counsellors through ACC Sensitive Claims (where eligible). We also provide guidance when harm occurred outside New Zealand. Free and confidential.

We can help with:

  • Emotional support and someone to talk to
  • Understanding your choices and rights
  • Accessing counselling and recovery support
  • Help with medical, legal, or ACC processes
  • Advocacy when working with other services

You are in control of what support you receive. You do not have to report to the police to get help.

This service supports families affected by family violence, with a strong focus on the safety and well-being of women and children.

Violence may be physical, emotional, financial, sexual, immigration, or controlling behaviour.

Our services include:

  • Social Work Support Free, confidential social work support for ethnic women experiencing family violence or other complex issues. Social workers listen, help you understand your options, support safety planning, and connect or advocate with other services when needed. Culturally responsive and women-centred.
  • PACT – Men’s Behaviour Change Support Long-term support for men who want to take responsibility and change their behaviour after using violence. PACT focuses on accountability, cultural safety, healthy masculinity, and restoring whānau wellbeing through tailored one-on-one support. Free and confidential.
  • Safety Programmes One-to-one Safety Programmes for adults who have experienced family violence. We help you understand what is happening, think about safety, and explore your options in a culturally and linguistically supportive way. Referrals can come through the Ministry of Justice or directly.

  • Connecting you with housing, legal, health, and community services
  • Advocacy with other agencies, if needed
