Youth Explore Programme

Youth Explore is a programme for ethnic young people that offers a safe, supportive space to learn, grow, and connect with others. The programme supports young people to build confidence, explore their strengths, and develop skills for life.

Youth Explore runs across the year and includes a mix of learning, fun, and community activities. Young people are encouraged to step outside their comfort zones, try new things, and build positive relationships with peers and mentors.

The programme includes:

  • An annual Youth Hui, where young people help plan activities and set goals for the year
  • Overnight camps and outdoor activities such as kayaking, caving, abseiling, bush skills, and team-building challenges
  • Workshops on topics chosen by young people, such as leadership, wellbeing, and pre-employment skills (CVs, cover letters, job searching, and interview preparation)
  • Community engagement and volunteering, supporting young people to give back and build experience
  • Social activities such as movie nights, bowling, mini-golf, sports, and group outings

Youth Explore focuses on belonging, confidence, and positive peer connection. Many young people value the chance to form strong friendships and be part of a supportive community.
